WHO?
San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.  Our affiliate was founded in 1990 and seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the San Gabriel Valley while making decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. This affiliate has built 39 homes, and the 11 Kenwood homes in Glendale are now under construction. When these homes are complete, our affiliate will have reached the 50-home benchmark and will be providing approximately 275 deserving men, women and children with safe, decent, affordable shelter. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people from all religions and walks of life to create a better, permanent environment for lower-income families.  To accomplish this, Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates houses providing decent homes in decent communities where people can live and grow to their potential.

WHAT?
The 2008 Gala invites sponsors and guests to “Raise the Roof!” Each year we coordinate an annual gala fundraising benefit to assist with our mission and the costs of building affordable homes.  Three hundred to 500 of our supporters, friends and underwriters from across our service area of 31 San Gabriel Valley communities will be attending this event.  Dinner, dancing, entertainment, an exciting live auction, and fabulous silent auction will be part of this special event.  And, the winning ticket for a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C Class sedan will be drawn by Liz Rusnak as a highlight of the evening.

WHEN?
Saturday, June 14, 2008, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM

WHERE?
Our 2008 gala will take place on the magnificent grounds of the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, with music, dining and entertainment under the stars.
