PROJECT PLAN:
Four 1200 square foot
houses with enclosed two-car at-grade garages on a 50 x 250 (112,500 square
foot) lot at 401 to 411 S Pacific Avenue, Glendale. Each house will be two-story
with 3 bedrooms and 1 ½ baths. Each home will have a 1.5 KW Solar electric
system on the roof. The homes will have high-grade insulation, energy efficient
doors and windows and a "Energy Star" rated heating system. The project will be
constructed with donated materials and labor to the extent practical. The homes
will be sold to qualified low-income (defined as those earning less than 80% of
the Area Median Income)
families.
