Unique Building Model
Habitat for Humanity is known throughout the world for its unique building model, in which volunteers work alongside the families who will own the completed homes. San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity (SGVHFH) has adapted the model to work in the local building environment.
SGVHFH acquires land and buildings from the Cities and other governmental agencies from within the San Gabriel Valley. Professional architects design our buildings and we build the exterior shells to conform to the city’s strict building code. Volunteers and SGVHFH family partners build the exteriors, interiors and complete the finish work.
San Gabriel Valley Habitat has completed homes in Duarte, Glendale, El Monte, Monrovia and Pasadena with current construction efforts in Temple City and future builds planned throughout valley. We welcome your support to help us build decent, affordable homes. Please consider a donation of funds or materials!
