Donate through the Carpenter’s Club Hope BUILDERS program:
Carpenter’s Club Hope BUILDERS is your opportunity to make affordable housing a priority in your values and in your charitable giving.  Carpenter’s Club members make regular monthly donations to support the work of San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity.  This is a voluntary program that allows you to give electronically via your Credit Card. When you sign up, you authorize SGVHFH to directly charge your American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card account in the amount you designate and at the times that you choose.

Benefits

  • You save time by not writing checks.
  • You save postage and check costs.
  • Your monthly gift will not be delayed or lost in the mail.
  • You do not have to remember to give when you are on vacation.
  • The amount you give can be changed or canceled at any time by notifying SGVHFH in writing.
  • SGVHFH will process your gifts more efficiently, allowing us to be better stewards.

Cars for Houses

Do you have an old car, truck, van or boat in your driveway? Did you purchase or do you plan to purchase a new car and don’t know what to do with your current car? Did you know you can donate your used vehicle or boat to Habitat and receive a valuable tax deduction? Your donation will help fund the construction of new homes!

Even if your vehicle doesn’t run or isn’t registered, we can still use it. We provide free pickup and towing through Riteway Charity Services and Cars for Homes. Please call Sayaka at (626) 792-3838 x14 to give us the make and model information on your car, or use online form for faster service — remember to select San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity from the Charity pull-down menu on this form.

Fundraising Projects and Special Events

We rely on fundraisers to bring in funds so we can continue our fight against sub-standard housing. We need volunteers to help plan and staff fundraisers and special events.  If you are interested in volunteering, please call Jan at (626) 792-3838 x17 or fill out our online application. Be sure to explore our many options under our Volunteers section.

Home Sponsorships

We welcome donations from individuals, faith groups, organizations, and companies concerned with the problem of sub-standard housing.  You, your companiy or your church can sponsor an entire house or a large portion of one.  If you are interested, please contact Executive Director Sonja Yates at (626) 792-3838 x13. Home sponsorships provide great opportunites for team building and fellowship!  We accept monetary donations, grants, pro bono services and in-kind donations or building materials. Most donations are tax deductible — you will receive a receipt or a letter acknowledging your gift.

Our affiliate raises cash for every home that is to be built.  The cash amounts for home sponsorship are:

  • $120,000 for a Full Home Sponsorship
  • $60,000 for a Half Home Sponsorship
  • $30,000 for a Quarter Home Sponsorship

Pro bono Services and In-Kind Donations

We depend on the generosity of individuals and companies to provide the materials and professional design and construction services to build homes for our partner families. All Habitat homes are sold to the partner families at no profit and with no interest on mortgages. Habitat for Humanity’s families’  mortgage payments are used to build more homes.  When building materials and professional services are donated, our funds can be stretched to complete more housing developments and give more families a “hand-up” in obtaining a home of their own. Every gift to San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity is truly a gift that keeps on giving!

All types of services and new construction materials are welcome. We especially need lumber, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, insulation, siding, and roofing materials. If you or your company can donate services or material, please contact Jan Robinson at (626) 792-3838 x17.
