Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our current build site!  We appreciate your kindness!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. They are involved in nearly every aspect of our affiliate’s work. There are many support tasks involved with building houses and numerous opportunities for involvement in addition to working on construction. We have Volunteer Orientation meetings on the second Tuesday of every month and would be pleased to see you there.

Pease note that all volunteers must have a current Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form on file. The completed Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form needs to be delivered to the construction site when you come to work. Office volunteers need to deliver the form to Jan Robinson when they come to work.

For groups, a Group Volunteer Application needs to be completed and returned to Jan Robinson. Additionally, a Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form needs to be completed by each participating member of your group. The Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form need to be delivered to the construction site. For volunteers under the age of 18, the Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

For individual volunteers, please complete out Volunteer Application Form and check off your areas of interest. Just open the page, print it, fill it out, and fax it to Jan Robinson at 626-792-7006.

Minors may volunteer for office work and may work for a maximum of six hours per day. Please review the additional policies below regarding youth volunteers.

Youth Policies (16 to 18 years of age)

• In compliance with Federal law, no one under age 16 is permitted to work on the construction site.
• All minors (under age 18) must have the Volunteer Agreement and Release of Liability Form signed by the parent or guardian on file prior to entering the work site.
• 16 year-olds must have a minor-to-adult ratio of 1:1 at all times on the site. 17 year-olds must have a minor-to-adult ratio of at least 5:1. Large groups (10+ people) of 18-year-olds also require chaperones at a ratio of 5:1.
