A fourth-generation native Southern Californian, Jan C. Berentsen has been a volunteer in nonprofit organizations all of her adult life. She currently serves as Executive Director of the California Pacific United Methodist Foundation, an organization that provides stewardship education, consultative services regarding endowment building and planned giving and an endowment investment program for the 380 United Methodist Churches and church related service organizations throughout Southern California, Hawaii, and the Pacific Rim. She joined the Board of Directors of SGVHFH in 2006 and serves as its President. Jan believes homeownership is a privilege and a gift, a gift she wants to share with others.
