Grant Writing Intern-Part Time, Unpaid
Location: Azusa, California
Scheduled Days: Monday-Friday
Shift/Hours: flexible, anytime between 9am – 5pm
Hours/Week: 15-20 hours/week
Internship Duration: 3-6 month commitment
Responsibilities
- Researches and identifies new government and private funding prospects
- Manages the grants calendar that tracks progress, due dates and outcomes for all submissions
- Develops proposals and supporting documents for current grants and new solicitations
- Assists with general office tasks and duties
Skills and Qualifications
- Commitment to eliminate sub-standard living conditions and homelessness
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong organizational and research skills
- Prior experience with grant writing and/or fundraising is desirable
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with SGV Habitat staff and community-based organizations.
