Howard first got involved with San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity as a volunteer for one of their builds in Glendale. He witnessed the wonderful changes a home can bring to a deserving family. His greatest memories are working side by side with the families and learning about their backgrounds and aspirations. Howard is currently the Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is responsible for coordinating preparation of the budget, establishing appropriate cost control measures, and overseeing the affiliates investments.
Howard is currently a Financial Advisor on a wealth management team in the Los Angeles office of Citigroup Smith Barney. As a Financial Advisor he assists individuals and their families with investment management, estate planning, and lending. Prior to joining Citigroup Smith Barney, Howard spent 6 years at Merrill Lynch, spending most of that time working for Merrill Lynch Private Client Group in Princeton, New Jersey, and Beverly Hills, CA. There he worked as Vice President advising senior executives of publicly traded companies on how to navigate through the myriad of issues, both legal and personal, related to protection and depositions of company stock.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Howard also serves on the board of directors of the UCLA Rose Bowl Bruins Scholarship. He is the Co-Chairman for the annual scholarship dinner which will be held this year at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. The purpose is to raise scholarships each year for deserving incoming students. He and his wife currently reside in the city of Irvine and are members of Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa.
