Make Davitt

Local resident Michael Davitt has been elected to the Board of Directors for The San Gabriel Valley Habitat of Humanity. The Directors are responsible for overseeing and supporting the operations of the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Headquartered in Pasadena, SGV Habitat was established in 1990 to serve the 28 communities in the San Gabriel Valley. To date, 39 homes have been developed within SGV Habitat’s service area, a new eleven-unit build will be launched later this year, and new development opportunities are pending in Pasadena and Monrovia.

Davitt has been a resident of La Canada for over 30 years. He is the Director of Real Estate for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Additionally, he is a member of the City Planning Commission, President of the St. Bede School Parent Association and a member of the Glendale Community College Foundation Board. He and his wife Alison have four children.

“I am honored to be associated with an organization which provides so many opportunities for creating home ownership in our immediate community,” Davitt stated.

San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity is currently completing their fund raising drive for the Kenwood Development. This build will have 11 condominium homes and is located in Glendale. Additionally, SGV Habitat was recently selected by the Pasadena City Council as the developer for the Desiderio Project which will provide nine homes located in the Arroyo once the land is released by the Department of Defense in 2011.
